Laying out my templates for applique design.

several bits of the design have come from drawing done over the last few years which have been stewing in a pile of sketch books.

This figure is done as a reverse applique with the detail embroidered in like on the cushion sized trial version.

I've given myself a ridiculous deadline for this so I can include a picture in an application for a fair. It's probably completely inappropriate for said application, but it might mean I FINISH SOMETHING!
