the winter coat

I made a coat, in the dark grey wool, but being a bit rubbish at following patterns and definitely being impatient, it wasn't a great fit to start with.

I also realised(this was the tail end of last winter) that I wear too many jumpers to be accommodated by this rather slick seventies styling.

So, out came the scissors, and the dark grey coat was transformed into something which would look more at home on the Russian Steppe in the 19thc.

The design has altered, or rather become more narrative. The faces will be inside the hood only. Friends that never let you down.
