I like the immediacy of embroidering the image very directly, with only minimal guide points. In this case pins marking out the size of the drawing.
I'm not convinced by the sheep in the embroidered version.
But what I think is worse, is the loopiness of the stitches. Muslin has a very open weave because thats what makes it absorbant. But it doesn't make a good base for minimal embroidery. It stretches enough in the hoop to make this length of stitch loopy and make the overall image too wobbly. More small, slower stitching is required. Harumph.
