sewing sewing sewing sewing til I'm dizzy

I am having to jiggle some of the arrangement
around as they're sewn on. Partly to make them fit better, but I also discovered that I'd pinned some of the pale version in the reverse positions from the original drawing. So I have swapped them so that both pieces match.

I chose some silk sewing thread from Texere Yarns to embroider the shapes on. I'm really enjoying sewing with the silk, and the colours are lovely, although they came in packs of a pre-selected range of colours, so there are some I won't need.

I've been trying really hard to keep the back of the sewing neat. Its easier with the silk thread because it naturally does't tangle as much as cheap polyester (doh!) but there has still been some frustrated moments with my head under the sewing frame undoing knots.
