crewel embroidery mary cushion

I've started the wool embroidery. I'm fairly uncertain about this whole part as well. I'm quite wedded to the idea of a set of objects: dress, cushion, bag. I think I'm nervous about my lack of embroidery skill making this part irrelevant.

I think I have to see the work through then put the parts together and let them sort it out between themselves.

The second motif took 8-9 hours, I didn't keep track of the first one (shown in the photograph below), but I think that will be an average for all of them.
