the coat

With winter approaching, I'm keen to get on with designing my next piece, which will be a coat with a hood and probably a zip down the front. I have a pattern which I got from a seller on etsy.(First place to look for vintage patterns)

I'm not sure I have the patience to make a toile for this, but I've been toying with the idea of using more of the heavyweight vintage linen from parna linen (http://www.parna.co.uk/ )as the base layer. Doing this would make a toile sensible, so I don't fuck up an expensive bit of fabric.

The first design drawings. I shall make a small wall piece first to decide how to interpret the drawings.
